HISTORY

 

Started in late 2022, OC Runs was started in order to provide professional timing for small local non profit races without the high cost of for-profit timing services. 

​

An investment was made in RFID technology to allow for timing for road races, bike races, cross country, or other standard timing event.  Services are donated at cost for Orange City event races and are available to other regional races depending on the mission of the race and scheduling availability. 

 

MISSION

 

OC Runs was created to with the primary mission to reduce costs for races to allow more funds to got to the non profit beneficiaries of each race.  The secondary mission is to support the local running community during a period when road races around the country are seeing declining participation numbers.
